Welcome to "The Prize Club"
Most of us are new to Blogs. Just mess around and do your best...that is what I have been doing!
To start a new topic thread, click on "New Post" in the upper right hand corner. This is appropriate for talking about your specific Prize, seven day commitments and to share inspiration or ask for help. Then , use the "comments" link at the bottom of these posts to share support, inspiration and experience with the provider of the original post. It is everyone's responsibility to support a PC member that asks for help.
Also, FYI, if you want to get an e mail sent automatically when someone posts , you can. Just let me know and I will set it up. This is helpful for me so I don't miss a new post buried in the "comments" portion of a thread (new post).

The Prize Club Strategy: Keys for Success
Like any other endeavor, you will only enjoy the fruits of your Prize Club experience if you honestly and fearlessly work at it. It takes a little time and will often take you out of what you currently consider your "comfort" zone. Ironically, this so called "comfort zone" is often anything but!
You decided to join The Prize Club because you have come to the realization that something is missing in your life. You want to succeed in a particular area (weight loss, organization, relationships, etc.), but can't for the life of you figure out how to do it. Don't be discouraged! There are millions of us out there. Some of us can't find the necessary motivation and discipline. Still others weren't given the basic tools to succeed by our own parents. And guess what...their parents weren't given the tools by their parents! Nobody is to blame...it's no big deal. Just get real, humble yourself, admit you need help and do the leg work that it takes to change.
Here's how to do it.
Step One: Identify a Prize worth pressing for. Remember, it must be specific and powerful enough to prevent you from engaging in destructive behavior.
Step Two: Recognize destructive mindsets, roadblocks or behaviors that will hinder your success. Use your seven day commitment to begin to address these issues.
Step Three: Determine new mindsets, habits and behaviors that will help you succeed in achieving your Prize. Use your seven day commitment to make these changes.
Step Four: Stay focused on your Prize. This process is ongoing. Continue to make your seven day commitments until new habits become the norm... and they will! Remember, you are not sacrificing anything. You are doing what it takes to attain what you really want!
Remember two things regarding your seven day commitments:
1. Less is more. Commit to something very doable that will start you on your journey towards realizing your Prize. The days of grandiosity and revolutionary change are over for us. They simply didn’t work.
2. Commitments are commitments…not wishes. Don’t make a commitment that you are not prepared to keep. This is about raising your self esteem, not sabotaging it.
Do these things and you will be amazed, as I have been. Believe me, it is worth it.

The Prize Club Concept
Choosing a Prize that is meaningful enough to positively affect the destructive behaviors that we have identified as roadblocks to achieving our goals.
